A Heart's Mirage

Many debate when life actually begins. Some say life begins when we take our first breath. Others say it begins a lot sooner when we are nothing more than a small fertilized egg. Perhaps it begins when we find we are in need of something, something like love. Whenever life actually begins, one thing is for sure, there on out it is an enormous struggle filled with numerous challenges. They say it is these challenges that will define us as adults and human beings. What will that mean to an American teenage girl? Well, we have all our lives to grow up but for Donna that is too long. For her the question is not when does life begin, but when does love begin. Finding it will embark her on a life long crusade filled with mistakes, regrets, heartbreaks, pain, abuse and more importantly with the time to grow-up and maybe in the end find out a little about herself.
