It
certainly came to a surprise to many friends and family
with my coming up divorce and Denis and I just meeting
face to face for the first time. Until the moment I
saw him hurrying down the airport hallway I had only
saw pictures of him, spoke to him on the computer and
the phone. But for me it didn't take long for me to
see I had found a Prince.

Es war eine Überraschung für Fruende
und unsere Familie mit meinem Scheidung warten und
auch mit es schnell nach wir haben getroffen.
Bis ich habe ihn nach Flughafen gekommen,
ich habe nur Fotos von ihm gesehen und auf dem Telefone
und dem Computer gesproken aber für mich, ich
wußte, ich habe meinen Prinz gefunden.

It
seems nothing ever goes as first planned. First we planned
that we would have a long engagement. Especially since
I was still waiting for my divorce to become final.
For me the requirements for marriage was different.
As a American the traditional religious ceromony is
as legal as a wedding in front of a judge. However,
for the French a religious ceromony is not a legal wedding.
There were so many frustrations at first.

Nichts geht wie vorgesehen.
Wir waren an meine Scheidung warten. So erste haben
wir eine lange Verpflichtung vorgesehen. Für mich,
Das Gesetz der Heirat war schwere. Es ist nicht gleich
in meinem Land. In meinem Land, ist eine religiös
Hochzeit gesetzlich. Jemand hat nur eine Hochziet. Aber
im Frankriech, ist eine religiös Hochzeit nicht
gesetzlich. So muss man hat zweite Hochzeit wenn man
ein religiös Hochzeit möchten.

The
main problem we came across is my birth certificate.
As an American my birth certificate doesn't have my
parents name on it. The French require a birth certificate
that has your parents name. We had to go to the US Consulate
and get some papers that, "may or may not work"
as they told us. It did work and it was time to prepare
for the legal wedding.

Wir hatten einige Problems.
Mein Geburtscirtificate hat nicht den Name meiner Eltern
gehabt. Wir haben das americanisch Konsulat gegangen
und Papiers bekommt. Sie sagte, "Die Papiers macht
oder macht nicht korrekt." GLUCK! Die Papiers waren
O.K. So dann war es Zeit für unsere Hochziet.

I
was thinking a small wedding with just a few family
but it was much bigger than I expected.
|

Ich war an eine kliene Hochziet
mit nur einigen Familie denken. Aber es war größer.
|

It
was an almost perfect wedding with my Mom and Sister
and Denis' family there. <It was
almost perfect cuase my kids, brother and other family
members could not be there.>And
the reception could not have been nicer

Es war fast prefekt Hochzeit mit meiner Mutter,
meinem Schwester und Die Familie von Denis da. Aber
meine Kinder und meinen Bruder war nicht da. Der Rezeption
war wunderbär und sehr nett.
